According to the data announced by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), in July this year the value of Indonesia's iron and steel imports decreased by 28.9 percent compared to June, amounting to $295.5 million. In the first seven months of this year, Indonesia’s iron and steel imports totaled $3.74 bllion, decreasing by 25.05 percent year on year.
In July this year, the overall value of Indonesia's imports amounted to $100.76 billion, falling 22.36 percent month on month and down 28.4 percent year on year, while in the first seven of the year the country's import value amounted to $840.26 billion, down 19.2 percent year on year.
