India’s industrial production increases by 13.5 percent in March

India's monthly industrial production in March this year rose 13.5 percent year on year and was up 9.04 percent over February. The country has consistently recorded growth rates of over ten percent on year-on-year basis in its industrial production in the last six months.
 
Among the various industrial sectors, in March metal products and parts, excepting machinery and equipment, showed the highest growth of 42.8 percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, industrial production in the country's basic metal and alloy industry in March imporved by 15.8 percent year on year and was up 14.09 percent month on month.
