Indian vehicle exports up nearly 31%
India's vehicle exports rose 30.5% year on year to 557'802 units during the first eleven months of the current fiscal year, the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) said. Exports of three-wheelers were the only segment that saw a fall in the first eleven months, declining 5.7% to 60'604 units. Commercial vehicle exports jumped 75.6%, from 15'051 units during the April-February 2004 period to 26'429 units in the April-February 2005 period. In addition, passenger car exports grew 34.1% to hit 145'993 units. Motorcycle exports rose 42.9% to 240'863 units during the first eleven months.Indian vehicle exports up nearly 31%
