Indian mill VSP posted improved results

Indian steel producer Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), operated by Rastriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) has recently posted its April-December 2003 results. Accordingly, the company achieved a gross margin of Rupees 12.48 billion ($276 million). The company reported its cash profit as Rupees 11.99 billion ($265 million) and net profit as Rupees 8.6 billion ($190 million) in the aforementioned period. The sales turnover of the company increased by 27% to Rupees 41.43 billion ($916 million) against the corresponding period of previous year. These results are stated to be the best results of the company.
