Indian galvanizers hike prices

Indian steelmakers are announcing price increases due to strong zinc prices. According to the reports, the increases range between Rupees 1,000 ($23) and Rupees 1,600 ($36) per metric ton. JSW Steel has reportedly increased its galvanized steel price by 3 percent, or Rupees 1,000/metric tons ($23). Then, Uttam Galva announced that it increased its prices by Rupees 1,600/metric tons ($36). According to the reports, Ispat is also increasing its price by Rupees 1,000/metric tons ($23) for the domestic market. The average price of galvanized steel will now be around Rupees 34,100/metric tons ($770).
