The Indian Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) has extended for two more months existing anti-dumping (AD) duties already applied to the Brazilian imports of both cold rolled and hot rolled flat steel products, CBEC said this week.

The duties, which were originally applied August 17, 2016 and valid for a period of six months, range from $474/mt to $557/mt, depending on the product.

The products subject to the duties include cold rolled; cold reduced flat steel products of iron or non-alloy steel or other alloy steel; all widths and thickness; not clad, plated or coated. Excluded from the duties are stainless steel, high speed steel, and silicon electrical steels including grain oriented and non-grain oriented steels.

The duties were also applied to flat steel products from China, Korea, Japan and Ukraine.
