Ilyich ups production of crude steel and finished products

Ukrainian steelmaker Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol's (Ilyich) production of crude steel and finished steel products rose 1 percent and 0.6 percent month on month to 617,300 tons and 506,800 tons in April 2006. On the other hand, the plant's production of pig iron fell 1.7 percent to 468,100 tons during the same period.
