Ilyich completes upgrade of cold rolling mill

Ukrainian steelmaker Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol (Ilyich), a subsidiary of Ukraine's largest vertically-integrated mining and steel group Metinvest, has announced that it has completed the capital repair works of the continuous pickling line No. 1 at its cold rolling mill. Investments for the upgrading of the equipment amounted to about UAH 23 million ($1.46 million).

As a result of the upgrade, acidic water will be prevented from contaminating the soil and improvement of product quality and better working conditions in the workshop will be achieved.
