İlhan Metalurji commissions induction furnace

İlhan Demir Celik ve Boru Profil Endustrisi A.S, the sister company of Turkish steelmaker İlhan Metalurji Endustri A.S, has produced its first batch of casting via the induction furnace which was supplied by Electrotherm (India) Ltd. and installed the facilities in Osmaniye Organized Industry Region.

With the 200,000 mt-per annum induction furnace, İlhan Demir Celik has also commissioned production at its melt shop. It is also heard that the facility’s continuous caster was manufactured by Erde Makina.

Billet production, in which BF and EAF methods are generally used, has now also started at İlhan Demir Celik ve Boru Profil Endustrisi A.S with this system using the induction furnace supplied by Electrotherm (India) Ltd.
