Australia-based Hysata, manufacturer of high-efficiency electrolyzer for green hydrogen production, has signed two separate agreements with South Korean steelmaker POSCO and its subsidiary POSCO Eco & Challenge (POSCO E&C) to further develop its next-gen electrolyzer technology.

Under the first agreement, Hysata and POSCO will share their technical knowledge and expertise to develop electrolyzer materials and systems. Also, they will speed up the commercialization of Hysata’s technology, which is expected to decrease the cost of hydrogen. In the meantime, the Australian manufacturer and POSCO E&C will work on the construction of electrolyzers to support the green hydrogen industry and other related industries.

This way, the partners aim to accelerate the application of green hydrogen, contributing to the decarbonization of hard-to-abate industries such as steelmaking.
