China's domestic hydroelectric power generation volume in July this year decreased by 11.2 percent year on year, the largest year-on-year decrease since March last year.

Chinese meteorological authorities have predicted that little rain will fall in southern China in the short term. As a result, power supply shortages are expected to be more serious next month in the provinces of southern China, where power generation relies heavily on water.
