Houston-based Triple-S acquires R&S Steel

Houston-based Triple-S Steel has recently acquired R&S Steel, one of the largest distributors of structural steel products in Western United States. R&S Steel, operating in Denver, Colorado and Lehi, Utah provides wide range of wide flange beams, structural pipes and tubes. With the acquisition of R&S Steel, inventory of Triple-S will be 100'000 tons of structural steel. Moreover, its market area will expand. Triple-S officials announced that the acquisition of R&S Steel is an extension of Triple-S' acquisition of Intsel Steel Distributors in 2002. The name of R&S Steel will not change. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed yet.
