Hebei Steel subsidiaries to supply steel angles for SGCC

On September 18, major Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group announced that its subsidiaries Tangshan Iron and Steel Co. and Xuanhua Iron and Steel Co. have successfully acquired supply rights for Chinese state-owned electric utilities company State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC). Accordingly, the two subsidiaries will supply 13,000 mt of steel angles to steel tower manufacturers which are directly subordinated to the SGCC.

Meanwhile, Xuanhua Iron and Steel produced and sold 77,082 mt of 55-100 mm diameter round steel in January-August this year, up 83.9 percent year on year.
