In February this year, heavy truck sales in China are expected to amount to 68,000 units, up 15 percent year on year, while rising by 50 percent month on month, according to the data issued by cvworld.cn, a Chinese auto industry information service provider.

The heavy truck sales of 68,000 units in February in China are lower than in the same periods in 2018, 2019 and 2021, while they are much higher than in February 2020 and 2022. The year-on-year rise in heavy truck sales in February ended the successive decreases seen since May 2021.

The easing of Covid-19 measures boosted market sentiment, releasing pent-up demand for new heavy trucks.
