Hansteel develops production of new flat steel products

According to major Chinese steel producer Hebei Iron and Steel Group, the steelmaking plant No. 3 of its subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Group (Hansteel) has successfully produced SPHE-R hot rolled (HR) steel sheet, with all indicators meeting the required standard. The HR steel sheet in question is widely used in manufacturing sectors such as shipbuilding, automotive, bridge building, machine manufacturing, pressure vessel production, etc., due to properties including high-strength, toughness and good weldability.    
 
Also according to Hebei Iron and Steel Group, Hansteel has developed production of 0.4 mm DC05 cold rolled (CR) automotive sheet at the continuous annealing line at its Hanbao cold rolling plant. At present, there are just a few steel companies in China able to produce 0.4 mm DC05 cold rolled automotive sheet. The first batch of the product in question will be exported.
