Germany’s passenger car output up 10 percent in January

According to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), Germany's passenger car output in January 2011 rose by 10 percent year on year to 416,100 units.

During the month in question, new passenger car registrations in Germany increased by 17 percent year on year to 211,100 units, while passenger car exports rose by 10 percent year on year reaching 312,800 units.
