In June of the current year, new motor vehicle registrations (including passenger cars and commercial vehicles) in the German market totaled 345,219 units, up 22.5 percent month on month and increasing by 12.6 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the January-June period of this year Germany's new motor vehicle registrations increased by 5.2 percent year on year, totaling 1,779,310 units.
According to the VDA, in June this year 540,610 motor vehicles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month increase of 14.5 percent and a year-on-year increase of 11.7 percent. German motor vehicle output in the first six months of the current year amounted to 3,082,320 units, showing 0.47 percent growth from the same period of 2014.
In June this year, a total of 411,890 motor vehicles were exported from Germany, up 12.6 percent month on month and increasing by 16.5 percent compared to June 2014. In the first six months, German motor vehicle exports amounted to 2,369,530 units, increasing by 0.91 percent year on year
