German wholesale metal prices up 0.2 percent in May from April

As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in May this year the wholesale selling prices of industrial products in Germany were down 0.4 percent compared to May 2014, following the 0.9 percent year-on-year price decrease recorded in April. Meanwhile, the wholesale price index increased by 0.5 percent in May this year compared to April.

In May of the current year, wholesale prices of ores, metals and semi-finished products in Germany rose by 3.7 percent compared to the same month of 2014 and indicated an increase of 0.2 percent compared to April.
