Gerdau’s Selkirk steel mill to halt melt shop operations after small explosion

According to local media reports, a man was injured in a small explosion early Friday at the Selkirk, Canada steel mill, which is owned and operated by Gerdau Long Steel North America. The small explosion occurred in the mill's melt shop. Gerdau stated that they will halt operations while an investigation takes place, but that the incident will not affect the capability to deliver orders to their customers.
