Georgia’s scrap exports to Turkey surge 12 percent in January-November

According to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), in the January-November period of this year Georgia's ferrous scrap exports to Turkey, the country's main trading partner, amounted to 275,241 metric tons, increasing by 12.05 percent year on year. The revenue generated by these exports came to $77.57 million, up 53.36 percent year on year, indicating that the country's average export price for ferrous scrap to Turkey in the period in question was $282/mt, up from $206/mt in the corresponding period of 2009.
