Georgetown mill ready for production

Steel workers at Georgetown Steel Co. (GSC) expect to start production this weekend. According to reports, a minor maintenance problem halted the first test load of steel earlier this week at ISG Georgetown. As SteelOrbis previously reported, Cleveland, USA-based International Steel Group (ISG) purchased GSC for $18 million at a bankruptcy auction. ISG is the US' largest integrated steel maker. Its products include hot-rolled, cold-rolled and coated sheets, tin mill products and carbon and alloy plates.
