Fulun Iron and Steel commissions upgraded round billet continuous casting machine

Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Fulun Iron & Steel has held the commissioning ceremony for the revamping of its round billet continuous casting machine No. 4, for which the general contractor was China Metallurgical Jingcheng Engineering Technology Corporation (MCC Jingcheng).

The continuous casting machine No. 4 at Fulun Iron & Steel is a full-radius round bloom casting machine, designed for producing cast blooms in 310-600 mm cross-sections, which will produce approximately 900,000 mt per year of qualified special steel blooms.
