In January this year, French crude steel output remained stable year on year at 1.33 million mt, according to the latest data released by the French Steel Federation (FFA).
In the same month, crude steel production in France using electric arc furnaces (EAFs) fell by 14.8 percent year on year to 375,000 mt, while crude steel production using blast furnaces (BFs) totaled 957,000 mt, increasing by 7.3 percent year on year.
