France's steel product import value down nine percent in Jan-Sept

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-September period of the current year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €5.44 billion, decreasing by nine percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France imported €1.14 billion of steel pipes and tubes - down 24.9 percent, €378.98 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 5.4 percent, €260.78 million of cold drawn wire - dropping  by 1.2 percent, €250.37 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 11.3 percent, and €1.1 billion of metal structures and parts - increasing by 4.7 percent, all compared to the January-September period of 2015.
