France's steel product import value down 6.2 percent in 2016

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in 2016 France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €7.27 billion, decreasing by 6.2 percent year on year.
 
During the year in question, France imported €1.52 billion of steel pipes and tubes - down 23.9 percent, €510.69 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 2.9 percent, €335.05 million of cold drawn wire - dropping  by 3.5 percent, €326.75 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 10 percent, and €1.45 billion of metal structures and parts - increasing by 4.4 percent, all compared to 2015.
