France's steel product import value down 4.2 percent in January-June

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-June period this year, France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €4.84 billion, decreasing by 4.2 percent year on year.

In the given period, France imported €971.78 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 0.3 percent, €253.47 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 4.2 percent, €372.12 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 3.4 percent, €223.25 million of cold drawn wire - declining by 6.8 percent, and €947.70 million of metal structures and parts - rising by 0.6 percent, all compared to the same period of 2018.
