France's steel product export value up five percent in January-August

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-August period of this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €7.06 billion, rising by five percent year on year.

During the period in question, France exported €890.84 million of steel pipes and tubes - up 13.8 percent, €306.33 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 19.5 percent, €445.66 million of cold rolled steel strip - up 8.8 percent, €243.69 million of cold drawn wire - up 5.3 percent, and €500.55 million of metal structures and parts - rising by 13.8 percent, all compared to the first eight months of 2017.
