First phase of electrical steel project of Hunan Valin Steel to start operation by end of 2023

Hunan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hunan Valin Iron & Steel Co. (Hunan Valin Steel) has announced that the first phase of its electrical steel project is expected to put into operation by the end of 2023. It will have annual outputs of 200,000 mt of non-oriented silicon steel, 100,000 mt of cold hard coil of non-oriented silicon steel and 90,000 mt of cold hard coil of oriented silicon steel. In particular, high-grade non-oriented electrical steel will be used in the production of new energy vehicles.
