Fire destroys AZZ’s Illinois galvanizing plant

According to local news reports, a fire broke out Sunday at AZZ Galvanizing's facility outside of Joliet Township, Illinois. The reports indicated that the plant was reduced to rubble and was entirely destroyed. No cause had been determined as of Monday.

No one was inside the building at the time of the fire, and no one was injured. Firefighters were still fighting off hot spots on Monday. AZZ has 34 galvanizing plants in 17 states.
