Final results of expedited sunset review on SS plate in coils
The US Department of Commerce (DOC) on April 1, 2004 initiated sunset review of the anti-dumping duty orders on stainless steel plate in coils imported from Canada, Taiwan and South Africa. On the same day, DOC initiated sunset review of the countervailing duty on the same product imported from South Africa. On the basis of the responses, DOC determined to conduct an expedited sunset review (120-day) for the subject orders. As a result of the review conducted, DOC determined that revocation of the anti-dumping duty orders on stainless steel plate in coils imported from Canada, Taiwan and South Africa and the countervailing duty on the same product imported from South Africa would likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of the dumping and the countervailable subsidy at the following weighted average margins:Country/Manufacturer/Exporter Margin Canada Atlas Stainless Steel.........................15.35% All others....................................11.10% South Africa Columbus Stainless............................41.63% All others....................................41.63% Taiwan Yieh United Steel Corp (YUSCO).................8.02% YUSCO/Ta Chen.................................10.20% All others.....................................7.39%
