On March 7, 2002, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) imposed an antidumping duty order on stainless steel bars imported from Italy. Upon the request of Carpenter Technology Corporation, Valbruna Slater Stainless, and Electralloy Corp (collectively the petitioners), the DOC, on April 22, 2005, initiated the third administrative review of the antidumping duty order on stainless steel bars imported from Italian producer UGITECH S.A. The review covered the period March 1, 2004, through February 28, 2005. The DOC preliminarily determined that during the period of review, UGITECH did not make any shipments of subject merchandise. Accordingly, the DOC preliminarily decided to rescind the administrative review with respect to UGITECH. Interested parties were requested to comment on the preliminary results. Based on the comments received, the DOC concluded that final results do not differ from the preliminary results of the review. Accordingly, the DOC decided to rescind the review with respect to UGITECH S.A.
