Venezuelan state-owned iron ore producer CVG Ferrominera Orinoco (FMO) is expected to deliver 5,000 mt of scrap to state-run steelmaker Complejo Siderurgico Nacional (CSN) as part of an iron ore supply deal signed earlier this year.

A media report said the 5,000 mt of scrap is located at a FMO facility in Ciudad Piar. FMO will handle and load the trains and deliver the scrap to CSN.

Under the terms of the deal, Ferrominera will provide 90,000 mt of scrap to CSN to produce steel products including billet and rebar for the country’s housing program, Gran Mision Vivienda (GMVV).
