The UK-based company Ferrexpo, which focuses on Ukrainian iron ore assets, has issued the November 2007 production results for its main iron ore subsidiary Poltava GOK.
According to the company release, in November 2007 Poltava GOK saw a four percent increase in its iron ore output and a four percent rise in its iron ore concentrate output year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 2.4 million and 903,000.
Meanwhile, the company's November 2007 pellets output stood at almost the same level as in November 2006 - 740,600 metric tons. Out of the total pellet output figure, during the period in question Poltava GOK produced 399,900 metric tons of pellets with 62 percent Fe content and 340,700 metric tons of pellets with 65 percent Fe content, showing a 20 percent decrease and a 40 percent increase year on year respectively.
