The UK-based company Ferrexpo, whose business is focused on Ukrainian iron ore assets, has issued the 2007 production results for its main iron ore subsidiary Poltava GOK.
According to the company release, in 2007 Poltava GOK saw a nine percent increase in its iron ore output and a 10 percent rise in its iron ore concentrate output year on year. The respective figures in metric tons were 28.9 million and 10.65 million.
Meanwhile, the company's 2007 pellets output stood at the level of 8.55 million metric tons - up six percent year on year. Out of the total pellet output figure, during the period in question Poltava GOK produced 5.37 million metric tons of pellets with 62 percent Fe content and 3.7 million metric tons of pellets with 65 percent Fe content, showing a one percent decrease and a 19 percent increase year on year respectively.
