FDI in China’s manufacturing industry up 0.7 percent in Jan-Sept

In the January-September period of this year, $29.84 billion of foreign direct investment (FDI) went into China’s manufacturing industry, up 0.7 percent year on year, accounting for 31.4 percent of the total FDI figure, while $57.99 billion of FDI went into the country’s services industry, up 19.2 percent year on year, accounting for 61.1 percent of the total, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) on October 20.
 
In the January-September period of the current year, overall FDI in China amounted to RMB 584.74 billion, with a total of 18,980 new companies set up by foreign investment in China, up 10.1 percent and nine percent year year on year, respectively, as previously announced by  China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
