The export quotation for Indian galvanized steel rose during the last month by $40-50 per ton. The main reasons for such increase were increased demand on US market for galvanized products, the stabilization of demand on other world's markets, and rise in the global zinc prices. One of the first price rises was made by the Indian galvanized steel producer Uttam Galva Steel, which has the total production capacity of 350,000 tons a year. Nowadays, Indian origin galvanized coil of commercial quality, in thicknesses between 0.5-0.8 mm, is offered for export at $670-680/ton FOB, while offers for 0.3 mm material are at $710-725/ton FOB. Traders also report the export offers for Indian galvanized coils in thicknesses
