Expansion plans by Ningbo Baoxin

Ningbo Baoxin Stainless Steel Co. which is an affiliate of Nisshin Steel, is planning to install the world's largest hot and cold annealing and pickling lines as part of its production expansion plan. The company is scheduled to complete investment in two years, with a cost of $21 million. Also, the investment includes new rolling mills. Zurich based ABB will install the stainless processing lines. ABB's technology will help Baoxin to increase its annual production capacity of finished products from 300'000 tons to 700'000 tons. Furthermore, ABB will provide equipment and systems to Baoxin to install hot and cold annealing and pickling lines in Zheijang province, eastern China.
