Evrazruda, a member of the Russian Evraz Group, is to complete upgrading its primary crushing and concentration plants (CCP) in the first quarter of 2007.
The main work on the modernization of CCPs at six of Evrazruda's facilities - as a part of the company's investment program to develop its mining unit - has been completed by now.
The plants at the company's Tashtagol, Irbinsky and Abakan centers are expected to achieve their
production targets by the end of the current year. Meanwhile, the upgrades of the plants at Evrazruda's Gorno-Shorsky, Tei and Kaz branches are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2007.
The modernization at Evrazruda's six plants includes the installation of a new, more powerful magnetic system at the separators, aimed at reducing the loss of iron during
iron ore production.
