The European Commission has announced that it has decided to impose provisional antidumping (AD) duty on high fatigue performance (HFP) rebar imports from China for a period of six months.

The investigation was launched on April 30, 2015, following the application filed by the European Steel Association (EUROFER), alleging that imports of the product under investigation from the country concerned have increased overall in absolute terms and in terms of market share. It covers the period from April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015.

Accordingly, the preliminary antidumping duty rates stand at 9.2 percent and 13 percent.

The products in question currently fall under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7214 20 00, 7228 30 20, 7228 30 41, 7228 30 49, 7228 30 61, 7228 30 69, 7228 30 70 and 7228 30 89.
