EU demands exemption from US steel tariffs as a whole

European Union Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström has demanded that the EU should be excluded from US steel tariffs as a whole, according to media reports.

Trade Commissioner Malmström also stated that the EU is ready to deal with the problem of global overcapacity in the steel market, which is the root cause of the problems in the US and European industries.
