EU claims rebar imports from Turkey are on the rise

According to latest data released, Turkish rebar imports into the EU reveal an increasing tendency in the last quarter of 2002. The rising trend of rebar imports when compared to the import levels in the previous periods also increases the possibility of an anti-dumping protection by the EU against imports of this product from Turkey. It is claimed that Turkish monthly imports of rebar rose to an amount of approximately 70'000 mts in the final quarter of 2002 while same were at lower levels in the past quarters of the same year.
