EU-27 steel imports up 15.39 percent in Jan over Dec

According to the European steel association EUROFER, in the month of January this year European Union (EU-27) flat steel imports reached 843,000 mt, while long steel imports amounted to 238,000 mt. Accordingly, overall EU-27 steel imports in January totaled 1.081 million mt, up 15.39 percent month on month and down 34.57 percent compared to the same month in 2010.
