EU-27 new industrial orders up 0.6 percent in October over September

According to a January 5 release by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities, new industrial orders in the European Union member states (EU-27) increased by 0.6 percent month on month in October, after a revised month-on-month decrease of 2.5 percent recorded in September. The year-on-year increase in October was recorded at 14.3 percent in the region.
 
On the other hand, in October new industrial orders in the EU-27, excluding ships, railway and aerospace equipment for which changes tend to be more volatile, rose by 0.8 percent month on month and were up 14.4 percent year on year.
