EU-27 new industrial orders down 2.5 percent in September from August

According to a statement released on November 25 by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities, new industrial orders in the European Union member states (EU-27) declined by 2.5 percent month on month in September, after a revised month-on-month increase of 3.5 percent recorded in August. The year-on-year increase in September was recorded at 13.4 percent in the region.
 
On the other hand, in September new industrial orders in the EU-27, excluding ships, railway and aerospace equipment for which changes tend to be more volatile, fell by 0.7 percent month on month and were up 15.2 percent year on year.
