Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario-based steelmaker Essar Steel Algoma reported Thursday a net loss of $194.9 million for fiscal Q3 2010, compared to the $63.3 million net loss in Q3 2009.
Shipments for the quarter were 629,501 net tons, a 33.6 percent increase from the comparable quarter last year.
