Erdemir increases production efficiency in February

Turkish integrated flats mill Erdemir states in its official declaration that it has increased the net activity rate to 87.8%. The mill has produced 233'231 tons in February 2003 that is ahead of the target of 225'000/month at its second hot rolling mill, under the framework of the 2.9 million ton annual production program. This is the highest ever level of production recorded so far. Erdemir's no.2 blast furnace is ranked the 8th among the 66 equivalent mills of Europe. The mill has revised its annual flat production target for 2003 as 3.35 million tons from 3.25 million tons.
