Erdemir to collect firm bids for first quarter exports
Turkish integrated steel plant Erdemir's capacity is very limited for exports, SteelOrbis understands. This limited availability is due to strong domestic demand in the Turkish steel market with FOB price levels of USD 400/mt for CRC and USD 310/mt for HRC. For this reason Erdemir is returning partially to its old tender system. The mill will collect all the export firm bids for the first quarter by 17:00hrs Turkish time today and thereafter decide on which one to entertain.
