Erdemir announces performance data for 2002
Turkish integrated flat rolled steel mill Erdemir announced its turnover for the year 2002 as $874 million. The value for the 830'000 tons of exports amounts to $206 million 42% of which into the US and 34% to the EU countries. Total production in the year 2002 was recorded as 3'145'000 tons, and including the subsidiaries total finished goods production amounts to 4'940'000 tons. The steel producer aims to reach a target of $1.1 billion turnover, and exports worth of $250 million and a total production of 3'250'000 tons. The aim is to reach a level of 5'350'000 tons of finished products together with the subsidiaries. Consolidated turnover is expected to realise as $ 375 million. As a group of companies, Erdemir also has allocated $185 million for new investments in 2003.
