Tunisian steel producer Societe Tunisienne D'industrie De L'acier - El-Fouladh (El-Fouladh) has announced its plans to complete its current expansion project in September of this year.
The expansion project in question involves the installation of a new EAF with an annual production capacity of 100,000 mt. In addition, in July 2007 the company completed a project to increase the steel production capacity of its existing EAF to 100,000 mt per year, up from 65,000 mt. In combination, these two expansion projects will produce an increase of 100,000 mt in the company's annual billet production.
