The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), the executive body of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) which includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Armenia, has announced that it has started an antidumping (AD) duty investigation on hot dip galvanized (HDG) products, including hot dip galvanized cold rolled and hot rolled sheets and coils, imported from Ukraine and China.

The investigation was launched following the application lodged by Russian steel producers Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), Severstal and NLMK Group.

The EEC stated that in 2017 Ukraine and China exported galvanized sheet into the EEU at dumped prices, with dumping margins of 25.6 percent for Ukraine and 16.4 percent for China.
